Live to Tell (Detective D.D. Warren, #4), Lisa Gardner

With a scratch the surface of a Dean Koontz supernatural vibe, Live to Tell will keep you guessing.

D.D. Warren is a relatable, no B.S. character of author Lisa Gardner. In her earlier novel (2011), Live to Tell, we find D.D. Wrestling with the woo-woo of the supernatural highway as she tries to piece together a common thread that has left two polar opposite families and one psych ward child dead in a span of three days. Detective Warren wades through the intricate life of Danielle, the only survivor of a family murder from 25-years prior using her own type of cop woo-woo to uncover the answers to the current murders and help Danielle piece together memories of her past.

Live to Tell is a good read with likable characters. As with anything Lisa Gardner, this is a quick, easy read that you will find yourself rushing through the last few pages to figure out the whodunnit while wishing the book would never end. Way to go Lisa!
