My Bluegrass Baby, Molly Harper
My second Molly Harper book. A cutesy, snarky read that was more predictable than I had hoped.
When Josh, the new guy at the Kentucky Department of Tourism, vies for the same marketing director position as Sadie, the long-term department assistant director. No surprise, the two are young, hot, and deadset against falling for the other. The banter is witty but occasionally a bit too harsh. There were a few times when I didn't like our supposedly sweet Kentucky girl; she was a bit too rude for her character.
There was no actual plot beyond the simplistic, and it fell a little flat for me. That said, Ms. Harper is a wonderful writer, and her dialogue couldn't be more snappy.
